It's eight years since I posted on this blog. Seems longer and yet oddly not that long ago. So the news is that I've just shot a few rolls on the RZ in Alaska and this time I sent them out for developing. Don't have a good darkroom setup here yet and the last roll I processed I messed up trying to get the film loaded into the spool. Since I'm not going back to the Meade glacier any time soon I did't want to spoil another roll.
And I've just bought a used Mamiya M645 Super! Very excited. It's in beautiful condition. The 80mm f/2.8 lens is arriving in a couple of days. Compared to the RZ it's incredibly light. And it has TTL metering and an auto winder with 16 frames per roll so more like a 35mm shooting experience but with medium format negs. I've already loaded a roll of Across 100 and am really looking forward to running the first roll though it.It will be more like a point an shoot (which may be a problem since I'm using TMX 100 120 film which isn't cheap).
